Wellfit to Launch First Abu Dhabi Fitness Centre at Reem Mall in Summer 2026

Wellfit, part of Formative, has announced plans to open its first fitness centre in Abu Dhabi, marking its sixth location in the UAE. The new mega-club will be located at Reem Mall and is set to welcome members in summer 2026.

Positioned as a flagship, the HYROX-affiliated facility will focus on strength and conditioning while offering a comprehensive wellness experience for individuals and families. The centre will feature specialised programmes led by certified coaches and provide exclusive benefits for participants in HYROX events.

Designed to support holistic health and wellbeing, Wellfit Reem Island will house more than 120 cardio and strength machines, including sleds, air runners and BikeErgs. The facility will also include a wide range of dedicated zones such as group exercise studios, a 22-bike spin studio, grappling and striking areas, and a recovery space equipped with advanced technology.

Family-friendly fitness remains a core component of the new club, with dedicated children’s programmes including a Junior Martial Arts initiative delivered from a specialised kids’ studio. Additional amenities include saunas, cold plunges, experiential showers, prayer rooms, and assessment facilities.

Brandon Rowberry, CEO of Arada’s Fitness, Wellness and Medical division, said the expansion reflects Wellfit’s ongoing growth strategy across the UAE. He noted that the new facility is designed to cater to all age groups and fitness levels, reinforcing the brand’s mission to promote healthier lifestyles.

Bruce von Kaufmann, Chief Operating Officer at Reem Mall, described the addition of Wellfit as a key milestone in the mall’s vision to become a hub for world-class lifestyle experiences and a vibrant community destination in the capital.

The centre will also offer a premium membership experience, featuring the in-house restaurant Hungry Wolves, AI-powered body assessment technology from Shosabi, and added conveniences such as towel service, water stations, free parking and swimsuit dryers.

Conveniently located, members will also have access to nearby entertainment and retail attractions, including VOX Cinemas and Snow Abu Dhabi.

Founder memberships will be made available ahead of the opening, offering early subscribers exclusive reduced rates for the duration of their membership.

Since launching in 2021, Wellfit has grown rapidly, now serving over 20,000 members across multiple locations in Dubai and Sharjah. The brand has also gained industry recognition, securing six awards at the REPs Industry Awards Gala, including Superclub of the Year.

As part of Formative—launched by Arada in 2025—Wellfit is contributing to a growing ecosystem that includes FitnGlam, The Platform Studios and FitCode. Together, the collective aims to reach 100,000 members across 40 locations by 2027.
