United Hospitality Management appointed by Dubai Duty Free to operate The Creekside Hotel Dubai

United Hospitality Management (UHM), a global leader in luxury and mixed-use hospitality management, has been appointed by Dubai Duty Free (DDF) to operate The Creekside Hotel Dubai, previously managed by Jumeirah. The iconic property will soon relaunch under Accor’s lifestyle-focused MGallery Hotel Collection, marking the beginning of a new era for one of Dubai’s most distinguished hospitality destinations.

Located just minutes from Dubai International Airport and overlooking the historic Dubai Creek, The Creekside Hotel has long been recognized as one of the city’s hidden gems. With its panoramic views, contemporary architecture, and proximity to both business and leisure hubs, the hotel remains a preferred choice for visitors seeking convenience and sophistication. The property also holds cultural significance as the home of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, which hosts the globally renowned Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

The rebranding under Accor’s MGallery Collection aims to elevate the hotel’s market positioning, with comprehensive plans to upgrade its facilities in line with the brand’s international standards. Once complete, the hotel will embody the hallmark MGallery attributes of boutique charm, storytelling, and a strong sense of place.

Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, commented:

“This property and the Tennis Stadium, which incorporates the original Irish Village bar and restaurant, have long been popular with Dubai residents as well as business and leisure visitors. By partnering with UHM, we are ensuring that the Creekside Hotel is managed with operational excellence and reimagined with a bold new vision. Guests can expect an elevated experience that reflects Dubai Duty Free’s commitment to excellence in hospitality and world-class sporting events.”

The decision to align the property with Accor’s MGallery Collection reflects a shared commitment among all partners to create distinctive, story-led destinations that celebrate individuality and cultural depth.

The appointment also represents a key milestone in UHM’s expansion strategy, reinforcing its strong presence across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. For Dubai Duty Free, the collaboration ensures that The Creekside Hotel continues to thrive as a premier lifestyle destination that bridges hospitality, sport, and entertainment.

Klaus Assmann, COO of United Hospitality Management Middle East, India & SE Asia, added:

“The Creekside Hotel holds a special place in Dubai’s history, and we are privileged to collaborate with Dubai Duty Free in shaping its next chapter. Reintroducing the property under the MGallery Collection enhances its character and enables us to craft bespoke guest journeys that unite modern luxury with Dubai’s deep connection to sport and culture. This partnership perfectly reflects UHM’s global growth vision.”

As part of UHM’s expanding portfolio, The Creekside Hotel will benefit from enhanced operations, refined guest services, and curated lifestyle activations inspired by its Creekside location and strong ties to Dubai’s sporting events. The partnership underscores UHM’s philosophy of blending heritage with innovation, ensuring enduring value for partners and exceptional experiences for guests.
