UAE Ministry of Education Launches Specialised Training Week for Over 24,000 Educators
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has commenced its Specialised Training Week, engaging more than 24,000 educators, including teachers, school leaders, and sector professionals, to prepare for the upcoming second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The training initiative runs until December 20.
Focus on Professional Development
The Specialised Training Week comprises over 66 workshops, providing approximately 240 hours of training. These sessions are designed to adhere to the Ministry’s approved standards, focusing on enhancing the quality and sustainability of professional development programs for educators.
Delivered by subject matter experts, the workshops target key areas such as:
- Addressing the specific needs of educators.
- Incorporating scientific and technical advancements.
- Equipping educators with essential skills to boost classroom performance and improve educational outcomes.

His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Al Qasim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, emphasized the program’s importance in fostering professional growth.
“The Ministry's Specialised Training Week focuses on developing educational professionals by enhancing teaching strategies, adopting innovative methods, and equipping educators with digital skills to leverage modern tools. It provides a platform for educators to exchange experiences, enriching knowledge and supporting sustainable educational improvement,” Al Qasim stated.
He further highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to aligning training programs with national and international professional standards, aiming to boost educator satisfaction, classroom performance, and student outcomes.
Operational Supervision
The Professional Development Department oversees the initiative, implementing frameworks to analyze training needs and develop plans based on performance indicators. This approach ensures that the training is tailored to meet the evolving demands of the education sector.
