The UAE marked Commemoration Day with a solemn tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes, honouring their courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to safeguarding the country’s security and stability.

H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC) in Dubai, emphasized that Commemoration Day reflects the profound pride the nation holds for its martyrs, whose heroic deeds continue to inspire generations.

In an official statement, he noted that the occasion serves as a reminder of the noble values the martyrs upheld, highlighting their ultimate act of patriotism in defending the UAE. “On this solemn occasion, we bow in reverence and admiration to the memories of our brave martyrs, who selflessly laid down their lives for the glory, security and stability of the UAE,” he said.

H.E. bin Meshar added that the day reinforces a renewed pledge of allegiance to the country’s leadership and deepens the sense of belonging among citizens and residents. He stressed the importance of carrying forward the legacy of the martyrs by contributing to the nation’s ongoing progress.

At the SLC, he said, the sacrifices of the UAE’s sons are remembered with immense pride. He prayed for their eternal peace and reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to supporting the country’s continued development, guided by the values and lessons instilled by the martyrs.
