The United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman are continuing efforts to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, with discussions focusing on expanding opportunities across logistics, food security, infrastructure, supply chains, energy, and industry.
During a meeting held at the Ministry of Economy headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri met with Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef to discuss strategies aimed at deepening economic and investment collaboration between the two countries.
H.E. Bin Touq reaffirmed the longstanding and historic ties between the UAE and Oman, highlighting the commitment of both nations’ leaderships to further strengthen bilateral partnerships and support sustainable development initiatives.
“The UAE and Oman share a common vision to strengthen our robust economic partnership as a key pillar of growth in both countries,” Bin Touq stated. He added that cooperation between the two nations serves as a successful example of economic integration and coordination among GCC countries.
According to Bin Touq, the UAE market currently hosts more than 9,180 Omani companies and nearly 550 Omani brands operating across multiple sectors, reflecting the growing momentum of trade and investment relations between the neighboring countries.
The discussions also focused on enhancing communication channels between Emirati and Omani business communities to encourage the launch of new projects and strengthen private-sector collaboration. Officials explored ways to support exporters and importers while ensuring smoother movement of goods and services between both markets amid evolving regional economic conditions.
Both sides emphasized the importance of diversifying bilateral trade, increasing trade volumes, and supporting long-term sustainable economic growth through closer cooperation.
Bin Touq further highlighted the UAE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its business environment through forward-looking economic policies, economic openness, and new partnerships with regional and international markets. He noted that these initiatives continue to reinforce the UAE’s position as a leading global hub for entrepreneurship, investments, and new economy projects.
