Transmed strengthens cybersecurity with AI-powered Palo Alto Networks platform

Transmed, one of the Middle East's largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, has enhanced its cybersecurity capabilities by deploying the AI-driven Cortex platform from Palo Alto Networks through the Unit 42 Managed XSIAM (MSIAM) service.

The deployment modernizes Transmed's Security Operations Centre (SOC), enabling the company to strengthen its cyber resilience using artificial intelligence, automation, and 24/7 managed security operations while supporting its expanding regional footprint.

Headquartered in Dubai, Transmed manages operations across 40 distribution centers in 12 countries and represents several multinational consumer brands, including P&G, Mars, Clorox, Kellogg's, Ülker, and Danone throughout the Levant, Gulf, Africa, and Europe.

According to the company, the deployment enhances its ability to respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats through continuous monitoring, automated incident response, proactive threat hunting, and AI-powered security analytics. The solution is designed to support the complex operational requirements of the FMCG industry, where uninterrupted supply chains and rapid decision-making are critical.

Dr. Ahmad Mourad, Chief Information Officer at Transmed, said the partnership has significantly strengthened the company's cybersecurity framework while supporting its long-term growth strategy.

"Partnering with Palo Alto Networks has fundamentally transformed our cybersecurity posture, delivering a next-generation SOC built for our ambitious growth. By leveraging the Unit 42 Managed XSIAM service to automate our operations, we have supercharged our detection and response capabilities, while empowering our security team to deliver proactive protection, safeguarding over 1,600 endpoints across our expanding regional markets and businesses."

The company completed the implementation within four months, replacing operational complexity with a fully managed 24/7 Security Operations Centre operated by Unit 42 cybersecurity experts. The managed service integrates continuous monitoring, automated threat detection, rapid incident response, and vulnerability management into a single platform, enabling faster identification and mitigation of emerging cyber risks.

Samer El Kodsi, Regional Vice President for Gulf & North Africa at Palo Alto Networks, said the deployment demonstrates how organizations can use AI-powered automation to improve cyber resilience while supporting business growth.

"Transmed's deployment of MSIAM demonstrates how ambitious companies in the region can leverage AI-driven automation to transform their security posture and enable safe growth. Protecting vast supply chains, including 40 distribution centers across 12 countries, requires real-time resilience against high-volume threats. By implementing our automated platform in just four months, Transmed has effectively neutralized complex risks and set a new benchmark for proactive, AI-enabled security."

The deployment reflects the growing adoption of AI-driven cybersecurity solutions across the region as businesses seek to protect critical infrastructure, digital assets, and supply chain operations from increasingly advanced cyber threats while maintaining operational efficiency.
