TCL showcases future-ready display and AI-powered living solutions at CES 2026
TCL, a global leader in consumer electronics and the world’s No. 1 Mini LED and ultra-large TV brand, has unveiled a new generation of display technologies and AI-driven products at CES 2026, highlighting its vision for smarter living, immersive entertainment, and enhanced productivity.
At this year’s event, TCL introduced several world-first innovations spanning display panels, television technologies, and intelligent devices. The company’s showcase reflects its continued focus on advancing visual performance while integrating artificial intelligence across home ecosystems.
Breakthroughs in display technology
A major highlight of TCL’s CES 2026 presentation was the global debut of its SQD-Mini LED technology. This next-generation solution represents a significant evolution of Mini LED displays by transforming conventional local dimming zones into Precise Dimming Series, allowing for highly accurate light control across the entire screen. The result is improved contrast, deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and enhanced shadow detail.
The new technology also integrates TCL’s Super QLED solution and an Ultra Color Filter Panel, delivering improved color accuracy, higher peak brightness, longer panel lifespan, and a more stable high color gamut across viewing scenarios.
TCL also showcased the world’s first television powered by SQD-Mini LED technology — the TCL X11L. The flagship model achieves up to 100% BT.2020 all-scene wide color gamut and is equipped with CSOT’s WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel for higher native contrast and sharper image quality. With up to 20,736 precise dimming zones and brightness levels reaching 10,000 nits, the X11L is designed to deliver vivid and lifelike HDR visuals. The TV features a nearly 2 cm-thinner profile with a virtually ZeroBorder design and premium sound tuned by Bang & Olufsen.
Smarter viewing through AI partnerships
TCL also highlighted its ongoing collaboration with Google and Dolby. Building on the introduction of the industry’s first “Always On” Google TV with Gemini, TCL’s 2026 TV models will offer more intuitive interactions, including enhanced Google Photos search and new creative features powered by Nano Banana and Veo.
In parallel, TCL demonstrated Dolby Vision 2, the next generation of Dolby Vision technology. Designed to enhance cinematic detail through content intelligence and environmental awareness, Dolby Vision 2 is expected to roll out to TCL’s X and C TV lineups in 2026 via over-the-air updates.
Expanding intelligent living solutions
Beyond displays, TCL presented a wide portfolio of AI-powered smart home products aimed at improving everyday living. These include the FreshIN 3.0 air conditioner, GeniusFresh refrigerator, AmeraClassic washer and dryer series, and the AI SuperDrum washer-dryer combo. TCL also introduced smart locks featuring biometric security, AI-based access control, and seamless integration with smart home systems.
The company’s Smart Home Energy Solutions were another focus, offering an AI-driven ecosystem that integrates power conversion, battery storage, and energy management. The system is designed to reduce energy costs, improve efficiency, and support low-carbon lifestyles.
In entertainment and lifestyle technology, TCL showcased the PlayCube projector for flexible, cinema-grade viewing and AiMe, described as the world’s first modular AI companion robot. AiMe is designed to deliver adaptive, lifelike interaction, adding a more human dimension to smart living.
Design-led collaborations and sustainability
At CES 2026, TCL also introduced NXTHOME™, a platform that brings together smart home solutions, lifestyle appliances, and collaborations with global brands such as Bang & Olufsen, BMW Group Designworks Shanghai Studio, and Alcantara. Additionally, TCL unveiled ECORA™, a sustainable material developed with Chris Lefteri Design, made from recycled porcelain ceramics and aimed at combining high-performance technology with eco-conscious design.
Through its advancements in display innovation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, TCL continues to position itself at the forefront of the connected home. The company says its latest technologies are designed not only to transform living spaces, but also to enhance how people live, work, and connect in an increasingly intelligent world.
