To Start This Week KringleCon, SANS Global Online Cyber Security Conference
SANS Institute, the worldwide pioneer in cyber security training and certifications, welcomes cyber security specialists and hackers around the globe to participate in KringleCon (@KringleCon) 2019. This fun, free, seasonally themed virtual meeting highlights world-class speakers sharing tips and deceives on the most proficient method to win the cyber battle.
Promptly following the gathering SANS will have its thirteenth yearly Holiday Hack Challenge. The current year's capture-the-flag (CTF) occasion will incorporate new offensive and defensive challenges, highlighting an assortment of front line advancements, including AI.
KringleCon boasts a broad line-up speakers, including IBM Security's Stephanie Carruthers, Black Hills Information Security's John Strand, Ian Coldwater from Heroku/Salesforce, Dave Kennedy from TrustedSec, and Lesley Carhart from Dragos, to give some examples.
"There are numerous one of a kind components to this gathering and it begins with an overall storyline," clarifies Ed Skoudis (@edskoudis), executive of SANS Cyber Ranges and Team-Based Training and creator of KringleCon, "An evil miscreant attempts to hack the meeting to make it be dropped. A year ago, the detestable programmer bolted up Santa's castle and held gathering participants inside the castle. The current year's topic will be similarly exciting. The expansion of offensive and defensive AI challenges is particularly energizing, as we accept this to be the first occasion when that AI is utilized in a CTF occasion."
KringleCon is a one of a kind programmer gathering intended to draw in another age of cyber experts, and advance the skills of existing cyber security specialists of all ages. Members learn through a gathering of educational talks, exhibits, and fun challenge that gradually increase in trouble as members test what they've learned during the Holiday Hack Challenge. The Holiday Hack Challenge offers a progression of series and valuable educational prizes, extending from SANS OnDemand courses to NetWars Continuous memberships.
