SHIFT Car Rental, the premium vehicle rental brand under AWR Mobility, has signed a strategic partnership with Amber Connect, a global provider of AI-powered telematics and IoT vehicle solutions, to enhance fleet intelligence and connected mobility capabilities across the UAE.

Under the agreement, SHIFT will integrate Amber Connect’s real-time telematics platform across its entire fleet. The rollout is designed to generate deeper insights into vehicle performance, driver behaviour, fuel usage, and predictive maintenance, helping the company improve operational efficiency and service reliability.

According to the companies, the platform will support more data-driven decision-making by converting each vehicle into a connected asset. Fleet managers will be able to monitor safety indicators, maintenance needs, and usage patterns in real time, enabling faster interventions and more proactive vehicle management.

The partnership also aligns with national sustainability priorities. Through intelligent routing, performance analytics, and driving pattern insights, the system is expected to contribute to lower emissions and more efficient fleet utilization, supporting the UAE’s long-term Net Zero 2050 objectives.

Sanaa Ouahmane, Chief Executive Officer of AWR Mobility & AWR Trading, said the initiative reflects continued investment in smart mobility technologies and customer-focused innovation. She noted that integrating AI-driven telematics will help strengthen trust, safety, and convenience while optimizing internal operations.

Dushyant Savadia, Founder and CEO of Amber Connect, described the agreement as a significant regional milestone and said the collaboration demonstrates growing demand for predictive, data-led mobility solutions. He added that the deployment will enable scalable fleet intelligence and reinforce higher safety and performance standards.

The telematics deployment forms part of SHIFT’s broader technology roadmap aimed at improving customer experience, fleet transparency, and operational excellence across its UAE rental network.
