Sheikh Zayed Book Award gears up for short list announcements
The Scientific Committee of Sheikh Zayed Book Award finished its last conference in Abu Dhabi from the 18th to 20th of February as part of the tenth session procedures.
Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Sheikh Zayed Book Award's Secretary General lead the considerations, signed up with by Committee members; Mohammed Bennis from Morocco, Massoud Daher from Lebanon, Kadhim Jihad from France/Iraq, Habiba Al Smasi from UAE, Mohamed Badran from Egypt, Mohammed Safarani from Saudi Arabia, Khalil Al Shaikh from Jordan, and Juergen Boos from Germany.
The Committee evaluated Judges Reports and the evaluation of nominated works to complete the names of short-listed prospects in addition to talking about the cultural program of the award during its tenth cycle.
On the event of marking 10 years given that the establishment of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, Dr Ali stated "The committee picked a variety of cultural initiatives to reinforce the existence of the reward globally, in addition to reorganizing the mechanisms governing the "Arab culture in other languages classification". Bin Tamim included that these initiatives will be revealed throughout the Abu Dhabi global Exhibition for the next book.
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award will name its list competitors in the coming few days followed by the winners announcement as soon as signed off by the Board of Trustees. The yearly grand event will be held throughout the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (April 27 to May 3, 2016) at the International Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi
