Salesforce has announced the rollout of Agentforce, making enterprise-grade artificial intelligence accessible to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)—at no additional cost and with no setup required.

The integration embeds AI capabilities directly into Salesforce’s Free, Starter, and Pro Suites, enabling businesses to leverage tools such as AI-generated summaries, automated communications, and an Employee Agent within their existing workflows across sales, service, and marketing functions.

The move comes at a critical time for the region, where SMEs play a central role in economic diversification strategies. Governments across the GCC are increasingly prioritising private-sector growth, positioning small businesses as a key driver of national economic development.

According to the Salesforce SMB Trends Report, while 90% of SMB leaders globally say AI tools are improving efficiency, nearly 47% feel overwhelmed by the pace of technological change, as well as the cost and complexity of adoption. By embedding AI directly into its platform, Salesforce aims to remove these barriers—often described as the “AI tax.”

Mohammed Alkhotani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Middle East at Salesforce, highlighted the region’s strong growth trajectory, noting that SMEs contribute significantly to non-oil GDP in markets like the UAE and Saudi Arabia. He emphasised that making advanced AI tools accessible without added cost or complexity represents a major shift for entrepreneurs and growing businesses across the region.

With Agentforce, users can retrieve account insights, log activities, and generate follow-up communications through a conversational interface, eliminating the need for multiple systems or heavy IT support.

The initiative underscores Salesforce’s commitment to supporting SMB productivity, efficiency, and innovation, aligning closely with the GCC’s broader vision of building resilient, technology-driven economies.
