Prize Giving Rounds off Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Powered by Nissan

The 28th Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge powered by Nissan involved a climax with a gala supper and reward giving ceremony at Yas Marina Circuit.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE and Emirates Motorsport Federation, was joined by H.R.H.Prince Khaled bin Sultan Al Faisal Al Saud, President of the Electric Motor Federation of Saudi Arabia, as he offered prizes to the winners in all categories last night. They were also come with by Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO of Yas Marina Circuit.

The winners included Czech driver Martin Prokop and co-driver David Pabiska that landed the autos title for the very first time, and brand-new bikes champion Pablo Quintanilla from Chile

Saudi Arabia's Ahmed Al Shegawi and French co-driver Laurent Lichtleuchter won the T2 production cars category in a Nissan Patrol.

Spain's Jose-Luis Pena Campo and Rafel Tornabell recorded the buggies title while Dutchman Kees Koolen was crowned quads champion.

Occurring under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Agent in Al Dafrah Region, the Abu Dhabi Desert Obstacle creates the third round of the 2018 FIA World Cup for Cross Nation Rallies for cars and buggies and the opening round of this year's FIM Cross Country Rallies World Champion for bikes and quads.

The Abu Dhabi Desert Difficulty Powered by Nissan is sustained by Al Dafrah Region Town, Abu Dhabi Town, the UAE Military, Abu Dhabi Authorities, Nissan Middle East, ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Aeronautics, Al-Ain Water, National Ambulance Service, Tadweer, Yas Marina Circuit and the Qasr Al-Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.
