In the Present Condition Full Production Capacity Of Over 1 Million Units Per Day Is To Be Run By Mai Dubais Entirely Automated Facility
Mai Dubai, a bottled water company completely owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), announced that the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis has not disrupted its operations and that the company continues its materials by its entirely automated factory and achieves its manufacturing target of over 1 million units per day.
The Mai Dubai facility is outfitted with enough stocks and continues to acquire raw material supply as usual, in addition to having back-up supply systems in place. Besides, the operations of the facility are entirely automated; beginning from the arrival of raw material in the warehouses until the very end, which is the loading of the bottled water onto vehicles for dispatch. Even the internal transport is carried out through monorails, with zero human intervention contributing to around 100 per cent hands-free operations.
Alexander van t Riet, CEO of Mai Dubai, said: The current plant enlargement in our factory now allows us to effortlessly tackle the spike in product demand, which we have been witnessing over the past few weeks. Thanks to the visionary leadership of our shareholders, we are properly outfitted to produce even 30 per cent greater than the quantity needed to tackle the present day market demand.
He added, Using the extended manufacturing capacity, we have been able to fill our entirely automatic warehouse with strategic stock and can assure the availability of all our products, from our classic Mai Dubai products to the newly delivered Alkaline Zero Sodium bottle. While a phase of business disruptions unfolds throughout the world, we, in fact, have considered a spike in the demand for Mai Dubai products, along with for domestic supply. The demand has been fulfilled besides any interruption, by our excellent workforce and shipping teams, and our manufacturing continues to be in full swing. Moreover, from an environmental perspective, our products are produced sustainably, as our complete facility runs on solar energy.
Mai Dubais factory and workplace constructing run entirely on solar energy, abating 10,000MTs of carbon emissions annually.
