Oracle Partners with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and National eLearning Center to Train 50,000 Citizens in Artificial Intelligence
In a major step towards enhancing national digital competencies and supporting employment opportunities, Oracle has announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National eLearning Center to train 50,000 Saudi citizens in artificial intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge digital technologies.
The initiative, part of a broader push to prepare the Kingdom’s workforce for the demands of a digitally driven economy, is expected to contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia’s goal of unlocking SAR 506 billion (USD 135 billion) in economic value from AI by 2030.
As part of this collaboration, the “My Future” program will be launched to provide Saudi nationals across all educational and professional stages — including students, entry-level professionals, and especially women at the start of their careers — with training in AI and in-demand digital skills.
H.E. Fawziah Al Rashid, Assistant Deputy Minister for Future Skills and Digital Knowledge at MCIT, emphasized the importance of this initiative:
“This cooperation plays a pivotal role in expanding our national digital capabilities. Oracle’s partnership with the National eLearning Center will help us promote lifelong learning and ensure the continuous development of the most in-demand digital skills in the AI era. It also supports national innovation and strengthens our ability to equip Saudi citizens for future jobs.”
The program will be hosted through FutureX, the National eLearning Platform, and aims to empower youth and women in particular, contributing to the Kingdom’s vision of a more inclusive and future-ready workforce.
Dr. Maha bint Salman Al Tayyar, Deputy Director General for Empowerment at the National eLearning Center, added:
“This integrated effort with MCIT and Oracle will accelerate the Kingdom’s journey towards achieving Vision 2030 by focusing on human capital development. Launching the ‘My Future’ initiative through FutureX will enable our youth to build the skills required in AI and emerging technologies.”
Gary Miller, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Success Services at Oracle, also noted:
“According to PwC estimates, AI will contribute around USD 135 billion to Saudi Arabia’s economy by 2030. Oracle’s rapid cloud expansion in the Kingdom is among the fastest in the region, and we are committed to building a strong foundation of Saudi talent that will help realize this digital future.”
This initiative is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation objectives under Vision 2030, and aims to reinforce the nation’s position as a regional leader in technology and innovation.
