New Chief Risk Officer for Standard Chartereds Middle East (ME) Region

Standard Chartered has appointed Faisal Abu Shaar as Chief Risk Police Officer, Middle East; Nation Principal Risk Officer UAE; and also Head, Danger, Islamic Banking. Faisal has been with the Financial institution for the last seven years and has held different roles consisting of Senior citizen Credit Policeman, Singapore, Australia and Philippines as well as Elder Credit Score Police Officer, Jordan, most lately as the Nation Principal Threat Police Officer for the Bank in Thailand.

Faisal brings extensive international experience to his brand-new regional function, with a job spanning over 25 years in Corporate, Commercial and Retail throughout several regions including ASEAN and the Middle East. Before joining Conventional Chartered, Faisal was Chief Operating Policeman at HSBC, Center East, Jordan.

Faisal will report straight to Ian Bryden, Regional Chief Threat Policeman Africa as well as Center East with an extra coverage line to Julian Wynter. He is now based in Dubai, the Bank's Regional Headquarters for the AME region.
