DIEZ and Salik Partner to Deliver Smart Mobility Solutions Across Dubai Free Zones

Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Salik Company PJSC (Salik) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce advanced mobility solutions across Dubai's key free zones, supporting the emirate's vision for smarter, more connected transportation infrastructure.

The partnership will cover Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and Dubai CommerCity (DCC), focusing on improving customer experience, optimizing parking management, and enhancing traffic movement across more than 21,000 parking spaces within the three economic zones.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on implementing innovative technologies, including access control systems and parking optimization solutions, aimed at reducing congestion along major corridors while improving the efficient use of parking facilities and designated areas within the free zones.

The initiative aligns with Dubai's broader digital transformation strategy by introducing integrated mobility services that simplify operations for businesses, investors, employees, and visitors. It also represents the launch of a new smart mobility business vertical for Salik while strengthening DIEZ's infrastructure through unified access and mobility standards.

Eng. Muammar Al Katheeri, Chief Officer of Engineering and Sustainability at DIEZ, said the collaboration reflects the authority's commitment to adopting advanced digital technologies and strategic partnerships that improve operational efficiency across its economic zones.

He added that the partnership supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by creating a more integrated, innovation-driven business environment that enhances Dubai's position as a global destination for investment and commerce.

Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Chief Executive Officer of Salik, said the agreement marks another step in Salik's transformation into a comprehensive mobility solutions provider.

He noted that the collaboration will create new opportunities to improve vehicle movement and operational efficiency across Dubai's free zones while supporting the city's vision for intelligent and connected infrastructure.

As part of the agreement, both organizations will explore technical integration between their respective digital platforms to enable smarter traffic management, enhanced access control, improved space utilization, and more efficient mobility services.

The partnership is expected to deliver a more seamless transportation experience while supporting commercial growth, operational excellence, and sustainable urban development across Dubai's major economic zones.
