Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government Launches Professional Diploma Programme

The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) the first research and teaching institution focusing on governance and public policy in the Arab world launched the Professional Diploma programme, which objectives high-ranking officers in the public and non-public sectors.

Part of MBRSGs Executive Education programmes, the new Diploma seeks to teach and empower leaders of the future, hone their knowledge and expertise, improve their capability to innovate, and train them about the contemporary quality practices to enhance government performance in the UAE.

The programme consists of four Professional Diplomas, namely, Professional Government Administrator , Professional Public Policy Analyst, Professional Public Leader, and Professional Digital Leader. It is designed around the idea of Learning with the aid of Doing and focuses on expanding participants expertise and personal capabilities to develop educational outcomes, introduce them to international governance practices, and motivate communication and the exchange of excellent practices. The program also includes teaching sessions that intend to switch practical experiences, giving participants a complete idea on managing a number of situations at the work place.
MBRSGs Executive President His Excellency Dr Ali Bin Sebaa Al Marri said: The Professional Diploma programme reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, who prioritised building national capacities to lead the government ecosystem and establish a work environment that encourages employees to innovate, discover pragmatic solutions to challenges, and proceed along the route of success.

We count on the leaders of the future to drive tangible growth in different sectors of government, H.E. Al Marri added. We, at the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, are dedicated to establishing an integrated system of educational and coaching programmes. By launching the Professional Diploma programme on 13 January, 2020, we try to train government leaders, hone their knowledge in line with international economic and technological trends, and make sure we are well prepared for the future by enforcing the UAEs different plans and strategies.

For her part, Aisha Sultan Al Shamsi, Director of Executive Education Programmes at MBRSG, asserted that the Professional Diploma programme is a step ahead in the quest to train leaders and innovators in the government and private-sector work environment. The programme consists of pioneering curricula and advanced academic courses that take contemporary challenges into account and maintain pace with local and international trends in administration and public policies. This, in turn, helps us to make sure we are well prepared for the future, she said.

The Executive Education Programmes Department at MBRSG is working to discover revolutionary educational strategies that assist learners accumulate abilities and knowledge. We strive for a method that considers the pragmatic applications of this knowledge, providing case studies and scenarios that introduce participants to experiences from around the world, which allows them to make better choices and improve in their careers.

The programme and its courses have been designed in accordance with current curricula and innovative educating techniques based on academic lectures and administrative case studies from the UAE and the Arab world. The programme is overseen by a training committee of specialists together with famend local and international lecturers, exceptionally certified in various sectors, such as public policy, leadership and management, strategic planning, monetary management, future foresight, and innovation.
