Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and HSBC Distribute 700 Smart Reading Library Bags in Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain
In partnership with HSBC bank, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is marking the Year of Zayed 2018 by distributing 700 Smart Reading Library Bags to different areas and organizations in the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
The initiative belongs to the "Smart Bag Convoy", which wased initially introduced in 2014 as part of the tasks to note the Year of Providing, introduced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. It offers to strengthen the Structure's role in creating and distributing knowledge in the UAE, building knowledge-based cultures, and encouraging children to pursue their education in different disciplines.
The delegation brought together from both the Structure and the bank, and visited a number of places in both emirates, particularly, in Umm Al Quwain: The Falaj Al-Mu'alla settlement, Al Aghssan pre-school, Bint Al Shati Key School for girls, and Majid Al Awwal School. Meanwhile, in Ras Al Khaimah, the delegation went to the Structure of Saqr Mohammed Al Qasimi for Charity.
MBRF's CEO His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb asserted that the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation is devoted to continually supporting the production and circulation of knowledge throughout the UAE and the Arab region, as directed by MBRF Chairman H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum." This goes to the core of the Foundation's goals and missions," H.E. said, adding that the effort has been successful, given that its launch, in increasing its scope to reach more recipients in areas across the UAE, in addition to in evacuee camps around the Arab region, where conflict and adversities have interrupted children's access to their right to an education.
The Smart Reading Library Bags consist of interactive material to assist in knowing, reading, numbers, maths, scientific research and social studies; these include a smart pen to teach the Arabic language. The Bags likewise contain stories and interactive books developed to instruct mathematics, social studies, scientific research, and astronomy, as well as smart cards to instruct children about household problems, the Qur' an, petitions, and stories of the prophets.
