In a significant milestone for Dubai's aviation industry, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art facility by Comlux at Dubai South. The event was graced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.

Prominent attendees included HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, Richard Gaona, Chairman of Comlux, and Joseph Huber, Vice Chairman of Comlux, alongside senior officials.

The new Comlux facility is strategically positioned within the VIP Terminal's aircraft maintenance area at Al Maktoum International Airport, spanning 20,000 square meters. The facility will serve as a hangar, service center, and regional headquarters for the company. It boasts a dedicated apron parking area, a fully air-conditioned hangar for indoor aircraft storage, and spaces for offices, workshops, and storage rooms. The facility is also equipped to offer aircraft cleaning and cabin detailing services, ensuring seamless operations.

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, remarked, “The opening of Comlux’s state-of-the-art facility is a valuable addition to the services we offer at MBRAH. Richard Gaona, Chairman of Comlux, highlighted the strategic importance of the new facility, stating, "This facility enables us to better support our clients in the region. We are grateful to our partners at MBRAH for facilitating this service and maintenance center at DWC Airport. Jean-Michel Champredonde, General Manager of Comlux Middle East & Africa, will oversee daily operations as we continue expanding our presence in Dubai.”

MBRAH is a premier aerospace platform within Dubai South, offering high-level connectivity and serving as a free-zone destination for global aerospace players, including airlines, private jet companies, and MROs. It also hosts maintenance centers, training facilities, and education campuses, contributing to Dubai’s vision of becoming a leading global aviation hub.
