Modern Technologies and Innovative Initiatives for 50 Million People of Determination in the Middle East
Dubai to Host 7th Edition of Access Abilities Expo (AAE) in October
Dubai is set to host the 7th edition of the AccessAbilities Expo (AAE) from October 6 to 8, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The three-day event, spanning 12,000 square meters in Halls 6, 7, and 8, will feature over 270 exhibitors, brands, and rehabilitation centers from 50 countries, attracting over 15,000 visitors from more than 70 nations. The Expo will showcase cutting-edge technologies and rehabilitation products aimed at empowering People of Determination and improving their quality of life.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Patron of the Expo, emphasized the UAE's commitment to empowering People of Determination. He said, “We are dedicated to realizing the vision of our wise leadership to make Dubai and the UAE the most inclusive and empowering destination for People of Determination.” He also highlighted the remarkable success of the 6th edition of the Expo in 2024, which saw the participation of over 250 exhibitors and attracted delegates from around the world, including representatives from ministries, authorities, and government departments from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, and India.
The AccessAbilities Expo serves as a vital platform for the showcase of assistive technologies that improve the lives of People of Determination. These technologies address a wide range of disabilities, including mobility, visual, auditory, and intellectual impairments, as well as autism spectrum disorders. In the Middle East, where there are over 50 million People of Determination, the Expo is playing a significant role in advancing the region’s inclusive initiatives.
Innovative assistive products featured at the Expo will range from hearing aids and wheelchairs to communication aids and prosthetics. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over one billion people globally require assistive products, and this number is expected to rise to two billion by 2030. However, WHO reports that only one in ten people who need assistive technology have access to it, citing high costs, lack of availability, and insufficient trained staff as key barriers.
In addition to showcasing technological advancements, the Expo will also address the growing need for inclusive education, accessible travel, and innovations in rehabilitation. The event is a testament to Dubai’s leadership in ensuring that People of Determination have the necessary tools and resources to lead independent, fulfilling lives.
The AccessAbilities Expo is organized by Nadd Al Shiba PR and Event Management, and it continues to be the largest and most influential event of its kind in the region, making Dubai a global hub for assistive technologies and rehabilitation services.
