Ministry of Health & Prevention Signs MOU with American University of Beirut About Vocational Training

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the American University of Beirut as part of its partnership with global scholastic establishments to share and trade experiences in the field of trade training for the health market.

The arrangement, which is sustainable for another year, was authorized at the Ministry's office in Dubai by H.E. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Assistant Undersecretary for Assistance Solutions of MOHAP, and Professor Hassan Diab, Vice President of the American University of Beirut (AUB), in the presence of Saqr Al Hemeiri, Director of Training and Development Center, MOHAP.

H.E. Al Ketbi said that the agreement belongs to MOHAP's efforts to enhance its cooperation programme with global academic institutions in establishing and updating employment training for medical and technical staff, improve performance and embrace finest methods. It likewise intends to increase the Ministry's local and global partnership strategy via shared experiences and consequently improve health services, a goal personified in the National Program to supply innovative and sustainable healthcare.

Under the MoU, MOHAP and AUB will set up a joint working committee which will certainly fulfill occasionally to check the progress of the agreement and accordingly recommend the following steps to worried parties. The extent of the MoU includes exchange of expertise in training and various other health training field of specialization of the university.
