ME by Meliá Dubai has partnered with Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) to launch “ME Dubai Supports Local,” a new initiative aimed at promoting homegrown brands and entrepreneurs across the emirate.

Scheduled to run from May 7 to 10, the initiative will transform the hotel’s signature atrium into a curated marketplace celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship, and culture. The high-footfall venue is expected to host a diverse mix of emerging and established businesses, offering them direct exposure to both residents and international visitors.

As part of the programme, 40 complimentary showcase spaces will be made available to selected local brands. Participants will present a wide range of products, including traditional attire such as abayas and jalabiyas, alongside artisanal perfumes and other creative offerings. The initiative is designed to provide a platform for storytelling, enabling entrepreneurs to connect with new audiences in a design-led hospitality environment.

In addition to visibility, participating brands will benefit from exclusive incentives, including a 30% discount on hotel stays and food and beverage services during the event period.

The initiative was developed by the hotel’s Director of Marketing and Sales, with support from the wider management team, reflecting a strategic focus on community engagement and local collaboration. It underscores the property’s ongoing commitment to supporting the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and fostering meaningful partnerships within the creative economy.
