The enhancements, completed over 2023 and 2024, align with EHS's mission to elevate healthcare services to global standards. The modernized ICU now features state-of-the-art medical equipment and advanced technology, enabling the hospital to manage emergency cases with increased precision and efficiency.

They reflect EHS's ongoing commitment to improving healthcare facilities, ensuring patients receive top-tier care, and enhancing the overall quality and safety of medical services. Salim praised the ICU team's dedication, noting that the unit is now recognized for its proficiency in handling complex and critical conditions.
Dr. Reda Sherif, Head of the ICU, emphasized the impact of the upgrades, particularly in performing over 25 precise throat incision procedures each month. The improvements have led to reduced patient wait times, lower blood transfusion requirements, and shorter ICU stays. Additionally, the ICU has introduced a new plasma exchange service, further enhancing its capacity to respond promptly to critical cases. The unit operates under the continuous supervision of a critical care physician, ensuring round-the-clock care.
The ICU team has successfully saved numerous lives of patients suffering from severe, life-threatening conditions, many of whom required extended ventilator support. By applying cutting-edge treatment protocols, the team has minimized complications and improved patient outcomes, underscoring Kuwait Hospital's commitment to delivering comprehensive and high-quality healthcare.
