KHDA Kickstarts Dubai Fitness Challenge at GEMS School
GEMS Royal Dubai School hosted Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Director General, KHDA, who started the Dubai Health and fitness Challenge in schools by doing the obstacle training course at the school today.
With the aim making Dubai one of one of the most active cities in the world, the Dubai Health And Fitness Challenge - a Sheikh Hamdan initiative-- was introduced on October 2 to motivate residents of the UAE to participate in physical activities for 30 minutes daily for Thirty Day.
Kevin Loft, Principal of GEMS Royal Dubai School, stated: "The energy levels are soaring as we kick-off the Dubai Health and fitness Challenge. We encourage all of our trainees, moms and dads and personnel from every GEMS School to be involved in different physical fitness activities and anticipate finishing the 30-day difficulty and making Dubai the most energetic city on the world."
Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Director General, KHDA, claimed: "Im very excited to be here. This is my very first school visit - as a part of our programme "Fit Together" where we intend to check out institutions each day, involve with children in fun activities and get them moving. Today, I had a great deal of enjoyable with the kids who made me a guarantee that they will certainly challenge their parents and families to stay fit!
Students at GEMS Royal Dubai School together with instructors began the morning with 30 minutes of enjoyable activities and games, as a part of the initiative.
