Jannah Hotels & Resorts has appointed hospitality industry professional Amer Ammar as its new Director of Commercial Strategy & Development, strengthening the group's executive leadership as it focuses on growth and expansion across the GCC.

Ammar brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience across the UAE and the wider Middle East. His career includes senior leadership roles across multi-property operations and new hotel openings, giving him experience in both operational management and commercial strategy.

His expertise covers revenue management, sales, pricing and distribution, as well as the broader commercial and operational factors that influence hotel profitability and long-term business performance.

Leading commercial strategy and expansion

In his new position, Ammar will oversee Jannah Hotels & Resorts' commercial strategy, with responsibility for supporting performance across the group's existing properties while contributing to its expansion and development plans across the GCC.

His appointment comes as the hospitality sector across the region continues to evolve, with hotel operators focusing on stronger commercial performance, market positioning and strategic expansion.

Mark Whitlock, Managing Director of Jannah Hotels & Resorts, said Ammar's combination of commercial expertise, operational leadership and development experience aligns with the group's business ambitions.

Whitlock added that Ammar's broad industry background will be particularly valuable as Jannah works to strengthen property performance, respond to changing market conditions and advance its growth plans across the GCC.

The appointment represents another step in Jannah Hotels & Resorts' efforts to strengthen its leadership team and build its commercial capabilities as the group pursues its future development strategy in the region.
