Interactive Session by MFNCA Promotes Political Participation Among Emirati Women
The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA), in collaboration with the General Women's Union, recently hosted an interactive session titled "Political Empowerment Dialogue" at the Union's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This initiative aims to foster a culture of political participation among Emirati women, reflecting the MFNCA's ongoing commitment to raising awareness about parliamentary life and political engagement across the UAE.
The session featured key speakers, including Federal National Council members Hashima Yasser Al-Afari and Aisha Khamis Al Dhanhani, moderated by Ahlam Said Al-Lamki, Director of the Department of Research and Development at the General Women's Union. They discussed the importance of women's political participation and the Union's role in nurturing this culture, highlighting the achievements of Emirati women in the parliamentary sphere.
Al-Afari and Al Dhanhani shared their experiences from the 2023 Federal National Council elections, discussing their motivations, challenges, and successes in their campaigns. The session emphasized the critical role of women in parliamentary discussions and highlighted the essential skills needed for successful participation in political life.
