Innovation and Creative Ideas the Backbone of a Modern Economy

Leading luxury real estate developer, DAMAC Properties has been announced as a key supporter of this weekends Drones for Good ceremony, which will showcase the top entrants in the AED 4.67 million contest (US$1 million for International Competition and AED 1 million for National Competition).

In-line with the company strategy to support entrepreneurial activities in Dubai which enhance society, DAMAC Properties will be a key sponsor of the event, which will see almost 40 drones take to the sky over Internet City on 6-7 February 2015.

Following more than 800 submissions, from 57 countries, the Organizing Committee of 'The UAE Drones for Good Award' is presenting an opportunity for the inventors to meet with, and pitch to, some of the UAEs most creative companies, with the aim of financing the top projects into full production.

Launched by the UAE Government during the Government Summit, the Drones for Good contest was set-up to find the brightest minds and best uses for drones in todays society. It also aims to harness the technology of unmanned aircraft to improve the lives of people, whether in the UAE or anywhere in the world. It aims to design a legislative structure to provide services through advanced technology such as unmanned aircraft in the areas of serving humanity.
