Global Experts to Convene in Dubai for Desert Architecture MENA Forum 2026
As climate adaptation increasingly shapes the future of urban development worldwide, the 2nd Desert Architecture MENA Forum is set to return to Dubai on 18–19 June 2026 at Al Habtoor Grand Resort, bringing together global leaders in architecture, urban planning, sustainability, and development to explore the future of living in arid environments.
Held under the theme “Integrating Heritage with Innovation: The Future of Desert Living,” the forum has emerged as one of the region’s leading platforms dedicated to desert architecture, climate-responsive urbanism, and sustainable development.
Organised by Great Minds Events, the two-day gathering will focus on innovative approaches to designing cities capable of addressing environmental challenges while preserving cultural identity and enhancing quality of life.

This year’s programme will examine critical issues shaping the next generation of urban development in desert regions.

More than 20 sessions, panel discussions, technical presentations, and case studies are scheduled throughout the event to encourage collaboration among architects, developers, public-sector leaders, technology innovators, academics, and sustainability specialists.
Driving Climate-Responsive Urban Transformation
Commenting on the upcoming edition, Leila Masinaei, Managing Partner at Great Minds Events, highlighted the importance of developing solutions tailored specifically to desert conditions.
