Hungarian Ambassador Explores Cultural Collaboration with Dubai Culture

Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), hosted a visit from HE Károly Benes, Ambassador of Hungary to the UAE, and László Márton, Deputy Head of Mission at the Hungarian Embassy. The meeting, held at Dubai Culture’s headquarters in Dubai Design District, aimed at strengthening cultural ties and exploring potential collaboration between the UAE and Hungary.

Discussions focused on developing cultural exchange programmes, including musical and theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and shared experiences in archaeology and excavation. This cooperation is expected to enhance research and studies related to Dubai's archaeological sites.

Hala Badri showcased several key Dubai Culture initiatives, such as the Sikka Art & Design Festival, Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert Festival, and the Dubai Calligraphy Biennale, all designed to support local talent. Ambassador Benes outlined upcoming Hungarian artistic events scheduled to take place at major Dubai venues like the Dubai Opera and Coca-Cola Arena.

The meeting was also attended by Mansoor Lootah, CEO of Operations Support and Chief AI Officer; Muna Faisal Algurg, CEO of Culture & Heritage; Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of Arts & Literature; and Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, among other officials from Dubai Culture.
