HRE Development breaks ground on Sakura Gardens in Falcon City of Wonders

Dubai-based HRE Development has officially broken ground on Sakura Gardens, its landmark resort-style residential development located in Wadi Al Safa 2 within Falcon City of Wonders, marking a major milestone for one of Dubai’s rapidly evolving residential districts.

The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by the company’s senior leadership team, officially launched construction of the highly anticipated project, with completion scheduled for Q4 2028.

Inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom, or Sakura, which symbolises renewal, harmony, and tranquility, Sakura Gardens is being designed as a nature-focused residential sanctuary spread across approximately 49,000 square metres. The development will feature 1,429 fully furnished residences within a low-rise G+9 community, centred around a car-free 30,000 sqm central park.

A defining feature of the project is its emphasis on greenery and open space, with nearly 50 per cent of the total development footprint dedicated to landscaped areas, offering residents a more balanced and wellness-oriented living environment in contrast to the high-density urban developments commonly seen across the city.

Mohamed Adib Hijazi, Chairman of HRE Development, said the project reflects the company’s commitment to purposeful community development.

The community is expected to include more than 50 lifestyle and wellness amenities, including:

Rooftop gym facilities
Wellness pavilions
Padel and basketball courts
Running and walking trails
Themed children’s play areas
Floating coffee kiosks
Smart home automation across all units

The project will also integrate EV charging infrastructure and sustainability-focused planning elements, reinforcing the developer’s commitment to environmentally conscious urban living.

Located in Wadi Al Safa 2, the development arrives at a time when the area is gaining traction as a growing residential and investment destination within Dubai’s expanding suburban landscape. The district benefits from direct access to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and continues to attract increasing interest from both investors and end-users due to ongoing infrastructure expansion and rising demand for family-oriented communities.

With its combination of green space, wellness amenities, and modern residential design, Sakura Gardens represents one of the most ambitious projects launched to date by HRE Development.
