Hong Kong Tech Pavilions to Showcase Cutting-Edge AI and Innovation at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) will jointly stage two Hong Kong Tech Pavilions at GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, taking place from October 13 to 17 in Dubai.

Featuring 22 exhibitors, the pavilions will highlight Hong Kong’s latest innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and greentech, while promoting cross-border collaboration and investment opportunities between Hong Kong and the Middle East.

In addition to the exhibition, pitching sessions and a networking dinner will be held to help Hong Kong’s tech start-ups and SMEs connect with potential investors, business partners, and government representatives in the region.

Strengthening Hong Kong–Middle East Innovation Links

Marking its 45th edition, GITEX Global 2025 is expected to draw over 200,000 attendees from more than 180 countries, including tech leaders in AI, cybersecurity, smart mobility, and sustainable technology.

As part of Hong Kong’s efforts to expand its innovation footprint in global markets, the Tech Pavilions aim to showcase the city’s rapidly growing innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem, connecting promising enterprises with partners in the Middle East and beyond.

Daniel Lam, Regional Director of the Middle East and Africa at HKTDC, emphasized:

“Middle Eastern countries have been actively developing on the AI front in recent years, leveraging their advantages in low-cost energy and strong capital. The Hong Kong Tech Pavilions at GITEX Global will connect Hong Kong’s I&T enterprises with international partners, helping them expand into global innovation markets while positioning Hong Kong as a strategic gateway to China and the wider Asia region.”

Hong Kong’s AI Momentum

Hong Kong’s commitment to AI and data science continues to strengthen. In his recent Policy Address, Chief Executive John Lee highlighted AI as the driving force of the next wave of industrial transformation.

According to InvestHK’s 2024 Startup Survey, the city now hosts nearly 4,700 start-ups, underscoring its growing reputation as a hub for scientific research, venture capital, and talent.

Innovative Exhibitors and AI-Powered Solutions

The Hong Kong Tech Pavilions will showcase a range of technology-driven innovations, including:

  • HKSAR Environmental Protection Department (Booth H23-A50-05): Using AI for environmental assessment and planning through solutions like the AI Environmental Air Nuisance Investigation Robot Dog, environmental data repositories, and monitoring systems for noise and wastewater.

  • TradeMonday (Booth H23-A50-06): Offering a GenAI SaaS platform that automates retail analytics and workflows, supported by investors from Hong Kong, Türkiye, and the US.

  • Chain Technology Development Co. Limited (Booth H23-A50-01): Presenting an award-winning Digital Twin solution integrating AI, IoT, and spatial intelligence for architecture, engineering, and construction sectors.

  • Man Yue Electronics Company Limited: Displaying sustainable electronic components that promote carbon neutrality and energy efficiency.

Expanding Presence at Expand North Star

Alongside GITEX Global 2025, HKSTP will lead another Hong Kong Tech Pavilion at Expand North Star at Dubai Harbour from October 12 to 15, showcasing innovations from 10 park companies. Participants will also compete in the Supernova Challenge pitching competition.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will join the event to demonstrate its latest technological achievements and business solutions.

Connecting Through Business and Innovation

To deepen engagement between Hong Kong and Middle Eastern industries, the HKTDC, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai, will host a networking dinner on October 14, expecting around 80 industry representatives from local and global sectors.

Additionally, 12 pitching sessions will take place throughout the exhibition, giving Hong Kong companies a platform to present innovative technologies to investors, corporations, and government agencies.

Through these collaborative efforts, Hong Kong aims to position itself as a bridge between Asia and the Middle East, fostering mutual growth in the fields of AI, robotics, and green innovation.
