His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum announces Saif Al Falasi as new CEO of ENOC

Dubai, UAE; March 30, 2015: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) announced the appointment of Saif Humaid Al Falasi as the new Chief Executive Officer of ENOC.

Al Falasi takes over from Saeed Al Khoory, who served as Chief Executive Officer of ENOC, and led ENOCs business diversification and geographic expansion. With more than 35 years of experience in the industry, Al Falasi will provide vital direction and leadership to the company in driving its growth.

On his new role, Al Falasi said: I thank the ENOC Chairman and Board of Directors for trusting me with this new responsibility. With the support of the Board of Directors and the management, we will continue to build on the strong results achieved to date. The focus will be to lead the companys growth by exploring new geographic markets as well as diversifying our revenue streams. In this, our people and stakeholders will continue to be the key priority. We will strengthen training programmes for our staff to ensure the development of talent to undertake and manage our growing business footprint effectively.

Formerly Executive Director, Environment, Health, Safety & Quality (EHSQ) and Corporate Affairs at ENOC, Al Falasi joined ENOC in 2008 and has also served as Group General Manager. His expertise spans a wide range of specialties, including project management; petroleum asset evaluation, such as reservoir development and management; development of enhanced oil recovery; drilling and completion technology; surface facilities and production operation.

During his more than three decades working in the industry, Al Falasi has generated and successfully executed several full field development plans for the largest oil fields in the UAE.
