HIMA Inaugurates New Service Center in Zhanjiang, China
HIMA Group, a leading provider of safety-related automation solutions, has opened a new Service Center in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, China. The facility, which commenced operations on May 31, 2024, aims to enhance customer support in southeast China.
The HIMA Group, with a significant installed base in southeast China, provides safety engineering and lifecycle services designed to help customers operate their plants safely and efficiently, while also leveraging the benefits of digitalization in functional safety.
This strategic move is part of HIMA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen customer partnerships and expand its footprint in the region. The new Zhanjiang Service Center is set to offer enhanced support to local customers, particularly at the new BASF Verbund site in Zhanjiang, which will utilize HIMA’s advanced safety solutions. This site is expected to become a model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production, supported by HIMA’s cutting-edge digital technologies and stringent safety standards.
“The opening of the new service center is another important milestone for the HIMA Group and aligns with our strategy to strengthen customer partnerships and deliver first-class safety solutions close to our customers,” said Jörg de la Motte, CEO of HIMA Group.
HIMA’s digital tools, combined with a collaboratively developed security concept, form the foundation for an effective safety management system that complies with both national Chinese and international safety and security standards.
“This new service center aims to provide our customers with the best lifecycle services. The BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site will be the primary focus of this service center, which will also meet the service needs across southeast China,” emphasized Yao Zhou, Managing Director of HIMA China.
The opening ceremony was initiated by Peter Sieber, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at HIMA Group and former Managing Director of HIMA China. “I’m pleased that HIMA China is growing its business on solid steps. The opening of the Zhanjiang Service Center marks another significant milestone in HIMA’s development in China,” commented Peter Sieber.
