HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviews DEWAs smart services and initiatives at Smart Government Exhibition and Conference

HH Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the stand of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on the first day of the Smart Government Exhibition and Conference, which is held from 8 to 10 June at Dubai World Trade Centre. His Highness was updated on DEWAs smart services and its three smart initiatives: Shams Dubai to connect solar energy in houses and buildings, Smart Applications and Meters, and the Green Charger to build the infrastructure and charging stations for electric vehicles. His Highness was also briefed on the Sirb initiative, launched by DEWA to use drones in infrastructure services.

At DEWAs stand number PO2 in hall number 4, staff informed visitors about the latest services, achievements, and DEWAs smart application, which provides many services and features that fulfil all their needs anytime, anywhere. By taking part in the Smart Government Exhibition and Conference, DEWA intends to reach out to a large number of people and encourage them to use its smart services to contribute to Dubai becoming a smart, integrated, and connected city that meets peoples needs and make them happier.

DEWA has adopted promising strategies and an innovative framework to achieve the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to improve government services to promote peoples happiness, and implement the Smart Dubai initiative launched by His Highness. These plans have allowed us to transform all our services into smart services in record time, less than a year after launching Dubai's smart transformation strategy. DEWA is dedicated to transforming the leaderships vision into reality by implementing all policies and adopting the best practices in all its operations to contribute to enhancing Dubais position as a global hub for science and knowledge, and to make it a role model for governments in harnessing technology for business and service development, said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
DEWAs stand at the exhibition has attracted huge numbers of individuals and organisations. Visitors were enthusiastic to learn about our smart services and initiatives. Our participation in the exhibition shows our obligation to continually engaging with our customers and informing them about our latest services and initiatives using the latest technologies, said Moza Al Akraf, Acting CIO of DEWA.

DEWA delivers all its services on its smart app, which supports platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, and Blackberry. It is also accessible on Samsung home entertainment systems, Samsung Gear smart watches, and Etisalats eLife.
