HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer Receives High-Level Delegation From Consulate General of Japan

Dubai, UAE, 19 January 2017: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Power and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed a delegation led by Hisashi Michigami, Japanese General Consul in Dubai, together with Jumpei Yamaguchi, Vice Consul of the Economic Area of the Consulate General of Japan, and Hikaru Mizuno, Director of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

Al Tayer stressed the importance of boosting participation with Japanese energy business, along with boosting economic and industrial relations in between Japan and the UAE. Al Tayer likewise highlighted the steps for developing a long-lasting partnership between the two nations. The conference highlighted DEWA's jobs to boost economic, ecological, and social sustainability, while adding to making Dubai the smartest and happiest city on the planet.

Al Tayer noted the value of branching out power sources, and enhancing dependence on solar tasks to fulfill future requirements, to execute the Dubai Clean Energy Approach 2050. The Approach aims to offer 7% of Dubai's energy from tidy power sources by 2020, 25% by 2030, and 75% by 2050. The visiting delegation applauded DEWA's efforts to achieve lasting growth in the Emirate, and praised the solutions DEWA's offers to Dubai based Japanese business.
