HBMSUs Board of Governors Holds 2nd Meeting & Praises the Launch of School of Artificial Intelligence

H.E. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University's (HBMSU) Board of Governors (BOG), headed the 2nd conference of the university's BOG for 2017/2018. The conference held recently in Dubai discussed the three arrangements participated in by the university with three government bodies in addition to launch of the 'Entrepreneur Club.' It was likewise a possibility to display the university's efforts to promote smart education, digital transformation within the general public sector, and innovation in the country, resulting in the government entities' higher self-confidence in the university. The attendees reviewed HBMSU's agreements with three government entities. The first arrangement with Umm al-Quwain Executive Council aims to sustain the employees of the Umm al-Quwain Federal government with HMBSU's expert diploma programs. Its 2nd contract with the Ministry of Human Being Resources and Emiratisation intends to create and digitize the Ministry's campaigns such as its Emiratisation approach, the labor law, and digital portal. The third arrangement with the Dubai Committee of Military Human Resources seeks to establish an electronic platform for the board and 2 electronic programs on human resources legislation and the legislation of army pensions and social security benefits.

At the end of the conference, H.E. Dhahi Khalfan highlighted the value of "Entrepreneurs, Not Job Seekers" concept adopted by HBMSU in which it motivates graduates to come to be business owners and run their own tasks. HBMSU launched the Entrepreneurs Club on February 21, 2018 to cultivate entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the university's students and graduates.
