MBRF Showcases Rich Agenda at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has launched a vibrant and diverse participation at the 34th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2025, from April 26 to May 5. Through a dynamic lineup of sessions, workshops, and exhibitions, MBRF continues to advance its mission of promoting knowledge, reading culture, and intellectual creativity across the region.
MBRF unveiled an exceptional collection of books and publications at the event, highlighting its global vision, reaffirming its commitment to fostering language, thought, and innovation as key drivers of a knowledge-based future.
Central to MBRF’s activities is the Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), which presents a series of engaging panel discussions. These sessions delve into the experiences of emerging writers, the influence of creative writing workshops, the choice between short stories and novels, and the importance of critique sessions in nurturing literary talent. The panels also explore storytelling as a source of inspiration, the role of creative translation in bridging cultures, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on the visual arts and human creativity.
Additional discussions under DIPW cover the intersection between art and literature, children’s storytelling, young adult narrative development, and the journey from creative education to literary acclaim.
MBRF’s Digital Knowledge Hub (DKH) is another major highlight, focusing on digital transformation and the future of knowledge dissemination. Topics include the development of Arabic digital content, the evolution of information sharing in the AI era, lifelong learning through digital platforms, and the application of AI in libraries and knowledge institutions. The DKH initiative positions itself as a pioneering model in modern knowledge management, presenting specialized publications in knowledge sciences.
Meanwhile, the Knowledge Lounge offers a diverse program covering intellectual and literary themes. Key sessions address the relationship between Arabic narratives and stereotypes, the collaboration between novelists and screenwriters, the future of literature, the growth of Arab comics, and storytelling as a form of awareness. Additional topics include publisher insights into reader behavior, the role of reading in enhancing critical thinking, audio storytelling through podcasts, and the empowerment of adolescents through literature.
KnowTalks, another key platform, explores major societal issues such as youth empowerment, social transformation, the contributions of Arab scholars to global knowledge, personal branding through social media, and the impact of female leadership.
The Bil Arabi initiative also returns with a dedicated session to promote the Arabic language’s role in modern society. The session, which will bring together renowned experts and cultural leaders, will discuss the development of fully Arabic AI systems, strategies to promote Arabic among non-native speakers, and Arabic’s prominent role in the global media landscape.
Through its diverse participation at ADIBF 2025, MBRF continues to inspire dialogue, creativity, and innovation, reinforcing its leadership in shaping the future of knowledge production.
