HBMSU joins whole nation in celebrating the Spirit of the Union for UAEs 44th National Day

- Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) joined the whole nation in celebrating the Spirit of the Union, the official theme for the UAEs 44th National Day celebrations. Commemorating the day with feelings of pride, belonging and dedication to the country and its wise leadership, the HBMSU started its day-long with a special moment of silence, reciting Surah Al Fatiha for the UAE martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty to restore peace in Yemen. This was followed with the raising of the UAE flag and the singing of the national anthem. The mornings activities were participated in by HBMSU faculty members, administrators and learners who reaffirmed their commitment to excellence and to values of the 'Spirit of the Union.'

Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, HBMSU Chancellor, said, The second of December represents a major landmark in the history of the UAE, which has successfully evolved over the last four decades into being amongst the world's leading nations. UAE National Day is a significant national occasion to pay tribute and honor the achievements laid down by our founding fathers while also looking to the future--which holds promising prospects, driven by the wise leadership that ably continues to carry the torch of the union and shape a new era of excellence and leadership.

As we celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Union, it gives us great pleasure to extend our heartfelt congratulations and blessings to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and Their Highnesses, the Rulers of the Emirates. We reaffirm our commitment to double the efforts in ensuring ultimate investment in human resources as one of the key factors of comprehensive development in the UAE. We will remain steadfast in enriching knowledge and deepening patriotism amongst the new generations and enable them to optimally keep the UAE flag flying high worldwide, concluded Al Awar.
