Genetec to showcase latest physical security innovations and growth drivers at Intersec 2026
Genetec Inc., a global leader in enterprise physical security software, will present its latest innovations and insights into key industry growth drivers at Intersec 2026, taking place from 12 to 14 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
As organisations across the Middle East expand and modernise security operations to support growing urban developments, commercial assets and critical infrastructure, physical security is increasingly viewed as a strategic business function. Beyond protection, it is now seen as an enabler of improved collaboration, stronger situational awareness and better-informed decision making.
This trend is reflected in findings from the Genetec 2026 State of Physical Security Report, the company’s sixth annual global study based on feedback from more than 7,300 physical security professionals. The report shows that more than 70% of respondents are now using unified or integrated security systems, while 60% cite the need to integrate new capabilities as the main reason for replacing legacy technologies. Access to new features was identified as a key driver by 51% of respondents.
The report also highlights growing expectations around vendor stability and long-term partnerships, with 73% of end users stating that vendor viability is a critical factor when evaluating solutions. Interest in artificial intelligence continues to rise, with AI emerging as a top project priority for 2026. Adoption interest has more than doubled compared to last year’s findings.
At Intersec 2026, Genetec will demonstrate solutions designed to support the Middle East’s rapid infrastructure growth and smart city initiatives, while addressing complex security challenges across sectors such as oil and gas, large-scale urban developments and tourism hubs.
Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of the latest version of Security Center SaaS, including newly added intrusion management capabilities, as well as the Genetec Cloudlink™ 210 appliance. The company’s approach allows organisations to modernise at their own pace, offering flexibility across cloud, on-premises or hybrid deployment models to suit operational and policy requirements.
Genetec will also showcase advancements in AI-powered analytics, cloud-managed security, advanced vehicle intelligence and enhancements in Genetec Security Center 5.13. These innovations are designed to improve operational awareness, accelerate investigations and enhance response capabilities in complex and high-demand environments.
“Intersec is a vital platform for engaging with decision makers and partners across the region and for shaping the future of safer, smarter cities,” said Firas Jadalla, Regional Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Genetec. “As the industry moves toward greater intelligence, integration and resilience, our focus remains on delivering unified solutions that help organisations modernise with confidence and gain practical value from innovations such as AI.”
