Founder of Gossip The Brand Highlights Challenges & Opportunities in UAEs F&B Market During Workshop
Dr. Shayma Al Fawwaz, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gossip The Brand, a leading company managing the prominent Gossip Caf and Desserts and other principles, shared recently her industry expertise in a food and beverage (F&B) workshop in Sharjah that was arranged by the Young Arab Leaders (YAL) in partnership with Khalifa Fund for Venture Growth. As one of the guest panelists, Dr. Al Fawwaz discussed the major challenges and emerging opportunities in the UAEs F&B market along with Abdullah Mullah, Co-Founder of Home Bakery, and Mariam Al Hashemi, Co-Founder of Roux, during the session held at the Sheraa Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center of the American University of Sharjah. Nabra Al Busaidi, Executive Director of the YAL provided an introductory speech for the panel while Jassim Al Bastaki, Secretary General of the Emirati Entrepreneurs Association served as the main speaker and chief moderator for the session.
Discussions revolved on innovation and new technology in the regional and global F&B markets. The YAL and Khalifa Fund, a non-profit business group under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted the workshop to nurture the entrepreneurial ideas and skills of young Emiratis and range up their companies for a more lasting future for the country.
Dr. Al Fawwaz said: "I would like to compliment the organizers for making the very crucial entrepreneurship-focused workshop possible. The forum empowered our young people; helped build a smarter, extra innovative, and purpose-driven F&B industry in the UAE and the region; and opened new learning possibilities for local startups and tiny and moderate enterprises. We have to continuously hold comparable efforts as part of our all-encompassing nation-building efforts. I would likewise prefer to prolong my gratitude to the Khalifa Fund, YAL, and Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center - Sheraa for sustaining local business owners in addition to the development of our business leaders.
