First Graduates of MBZUAI Executive Program Accelerated Ready to Drive AI Transformation Across Sectors
The inaugural cohort of the MBZUAI Executive Program Accelerated (MEP-A) has successfully completed the intensive six-day program at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), with 32 executives gaining advanced knowledge and skills to drive AI transformation within their organizations. The group, which included leaders from both the UAE and abroad, represents sectors from energy and finance to government and technology.
The MEP-A program, an expedited version of MBZUAI's popular 16-week Executive Program, offered participants key insights into AI strategy, ethics, and real-world implementation. The curriculum featured hands-on experience and expert-led sessions from MBZUAI faculty and renowned AI authorities, including Professor Eric Xing, MBZUAI President; Professor Michael Jordan from UC Berkeley; and Professor Sheena Iyengar from Columbia University.
In addition to in-depth classroom learning, participants engaged in field visits to UAE-based industry leaders like ADNOC, AD Ports Group, and Dubai Future Foundation. These visits demonstrated AI’s practical applications in business and government, fostering actionable insights that participants plan to adapt within their respective organizations.
Professor Timothy Baldwin, MBZUAI provost, emphasized the program's transformative impact, noting, “Feedback from the MEP-A graduates has been outstanding. They found the course invaluable, particularly the site visits, and they are now equipped to safely and ethically implement AI solutions.”
The inaugural class included 32 participants from seven countries, with a strong representation from UAE's public and private sectors and nearly half of the cohort being women. This program not only supports MBZUAI's vision to foster global AI leadership but also enhances cross-border knowledge sharing in AI integration and ethics.
