EU Organic Food Campaign Promotes European Organic Products in Dubai
The "EU Organic Food – Good Choice" campaign, co-funded by the European Union, hosted a press event at The Barnyard restaurant in Dubai to promote European organic food in the United Arab Emirates. Organized in conjunction with the Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo 2024, the event aimed to highlight the campaign's priorities, completed activities, and future initiatives.
Jolanta Lyska, Director General of the Polish National Association of Processors and Producers of Organic Products “Polska Ekologia,” outlined the program’s key objectives. These include strengthening cooperation with regional importers and distributors and planning future activities like a study visit to Poland in December and the "Restaurant Week" initiative in the UAE in 2025.
European organic food producers also showcased their products, emphasizing high production standards and nutritional value. Attendees sampled herbal teas, fruit juices, and grain-based goods, enjoying the superior taste and quality of European organic food.
The event attracted local journalists, influencers, and representatives from the UAE food sector, providing a platform for networking and potential collaborations. UAE-based chef and food blogger Tamam Y. I. Abdullah praised the event, stating, “The atmosphere was inspiring, the presentations were engaging, and the food quality was exceptional.”
The campaign's next major event will be at the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE) later this month. Speaking about the campaign’s broader mission, Lyska said, “European organic food represents a commitment to health, sustainability, and community well-being. We look forward to building strong partnerships in the UAE and promoting responsible food choices.”
