ESET Repeats Best Score in AV-Test Self-Protection Test for the Third Consecutive Time

The latest AV-Test released their brand-new Self-Protection of Antivirus Software application test, examining 32 cybersecurity solutions on data protection with Address Area Layout Randomization (ASLR) and Information Implementation Avoidance (DEP). For the 3rd time, ESET has participated in the examination with both business and consumer product and in both instances has duplicated its flawless performance, racking up 100%. ESET is the only vendor in the background of the test to get to the maximum score each time.

AV-Test examined out all the key self-protection capacities of the examined cybersecurity software in connection with user-mode PE (portable executable) files for 32- and 64-bit solutions. Additionally, the legitimate certification signature of files and HTTPS protocol became part of the most recent assessment.

" To offer extraordinary cybersecurity security, suppliers need to deliver defense in addition to a faultlessly shielded core," stated Andreas Marx, Chief Executive Officer at AV-TEST GmbH. "In each of our Self-protection tests ESET products confirmed that they are able to supply impressive efficiency."

" We are committed to creating and supplying steady and effective products to safeguard our users from different IT safety and security risks that impact day-to- day organisations. Our duplicated success validates our commitment and efforts in securing companies and their sensitive data," stated Dimitris Raekos, General Manager, ESET Middle East.

In 2014, when the first self-protection test was released, just two suppliers were able to completely release ASLR & DEP technology. In one of the most recent examination, half of the examined solutions accomplished full self-protection, which is a big progression in industry standards.

" At ESET, we strive to provide users with products that lead by instance," said Juraj Malcho, Chief Innovation Officer at ESET. "Using innovations such as ASLR and DEP goes together with creating a robust set of products, verified by considerable internal and outside screening and code auditing to attain maximum dependability."
