Emirates Islamic Contributed AED 200,000 to Ministry of Community and Development
Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, contributed AED 200,000 to the UAE Ministry of Community and Growth as part of its continuous altruistic initiatives towards assisting people with cognitive disabilities. The quantity will certainly be used in the growth of the Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain Autism Facility.
Through its Emirates Islamic Charity Fund, the bank is an energetic contributor to community health and development initiatives in the UAE, and has routinely made substantial contributions to health centers, healthcare programmes and social well-being organizations throughout the country.
Naji Al-Hai Mubarak, Assistant Undersecretary of Social Development Affairs from Ministry of Community Development said, "We highly value this campaign which reflects the expanding sense of social obligation amongst establishments and participants of culture in the UAE. Emirates Islamic's payment mirrors the UAE's spirit of generosity and contributes to its dedication to support its residents and make them the happiest people in the world."
Al-Hai Mubarak included that the UAE Ministry of Community and Development looks forward to additional cooperation with Emirates Islamic to supporting those in need. "It is not unexpected that an established establishment such as Emirates Islamic has a clear footprint in the area of community responsibility, charity and humanitarian work.
Talking about the announcement, Awatif Al Harmoodi, General Manager, Operational Governance, Emirates Islamic, stated: "With our contribution, we want to encourage the lives of those children that require special support and add to the growth of top quality disability-friendly centers in the north emirates. We intend to lead by example in public-private social duty via our work with organisations such as the Ministry of Community Development, and motivate others to do the same."
In February, this year, Emirates Islamic added AED 1.72 million from its charity fund to the UAE's Ministry of Health & Prevention, to support the acquisition of 37 life-saving emergency gadgets, consisting of defibrillators and adhesive pads, which are utilized to resuscitate heart people going through a heart attack.
