Emirates Hospitals Group Announces Strategic Collaboration With Nice University Hospital

Emirates Hospitals Group (EHG), one of the UAE’s leading integrated healthcare providers, has announced a strategic collaboration with Nice University Hospital (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nice), France, aimed at advancing clinical excellence, medical education, and research across the region.

The partnership brings together Nice University Hospital’s European academic and tertiary care expertise with EHG’s expanding clinical network in the UAE. The agreement focuses on knowledge exchange, clinical cooperation, physician training, and joint academic initiatives.

According to EHG, the collaboration is designed to strengthen specialist capabilities and promote the transfer of international best practices in patient care, research, and medical innovation.

Christian Schuhmacher, Executive Chairman of the Board at Emirates Hospitals Group, said the agreement marks an important milestone in the group’s efforts to continuously elevate clinical standards and academic strength. He noted that partnering with a leading European university hospital will support physician development and help improve patient outcomes through structured knowledge transfer.

Prosenjit Bhattacharya, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Hospitals Group, said the collaboration aligns with EHG’s long-term strategy to build international partnerships and expand access to globally recognised clinical expertise within the UAE. He added that the move supports the group’s positioning as a regional platform for advanced healthcare delivery, education, and research.

Rodolphe Bourret, Chief Executive Officer of Nice University Hospital, said the partnership creates new opportunities for clinical and academic cooperation while reinforcing healthcare ties between European and Middle Eastern institutions.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Lateefa Al Sada, Head of Consular Services and National Affairs Section, who described the collaboration as a positive step in strengthening UAE–France institutional cooperation. She noted that the initiative is supported by the UAE Ambassador to France, H.E. Fahad Saeed Mohamed Abdulla Al Raqbani.

French representatives present included Hervé Cael, Municipal Councillor and Vice-Chairman of the CHU Supervisory Board; Christiane Amiel, Deputy Mayor of Nice for International Relations; and Johanna Lerfel, Health Advisor for the Middle East Region at the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia, along with senior dignitaries from the Faculty of Medicine at CHU.
