Dubai South Inaugurates New Logistics Facility for Expeditors International

Dubai South has announced the official opening of a new state-of-the-art logistics facility for Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPD), a Fortune 500 global logistics provider. The facility is situated within the Dubai South Logistics District, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global logistics and supply chain hub.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South; and Expeditors representatives Wael Hanna, District Manager, Dubai; K Murali, Senior Vice President for the Middle East, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent; and Mathew Joseph, Regional Vice President, Middle East and North Africa.

Cutting-Edge Logistics Capabilities

Spanning an expansive 23,200 square meters, the new facility is designed to offer a comprehensive range of logistics services. These include warehousing, container freight station (CFS) operations, inventory management, kitting, labelling, compliance inspections, order and return management, transportation coordination, pick-and-pack services, and quality control.

Commenting on the opening, Mohsen Ahmad stated:

Expeditors is a leading logistics company based in Bellevue, Washington, with operations across 176 district offices worldwide. The company delivers end-to-end supply chain solutions including air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, vendor consolidation, and warehousing.

The new facility’s location within Dubai South’s Logistics District provides Expeditors with strategic access to key transportation nodes, including Jebel Ali Port via a bonded logistics corridor, and direct links to the cargo terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport.
