Dubai Science Park Showcases Power of Storytelling and Strategic Communication at 2nd Science Business Leaders Forum

Industry leaders gather to explore the role of branding, communication, and identity in advancing science and innovation in the UAE

Dubai Science Park (DSP), a member of TECOM Group PJSC, hosted the second edition of the Science Business Leaders Forum, focusing on the importance of strategic communication, personal branding, and storytelling in supporting scientific innovation and research.

Held under the theme “Mastering Storytelling and Personal Identity in Healthcare and Science,” the forum brought together more than 100 stakeholders, including communication experts, industry executives, and media professionals, at D/Quarters, DSP’s coworking hub. The event served as a collaborative platform aimed at empowering innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs in the life sciences, healthcare, and environmental sectors.

Supporting National Visions Through Communication

The event aligns with several national strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the Dubai Research and Development Program, and the “We the UAE 2031” vision. These frameworks prioritize innovation, research, and economic diversification—objectives that Dubai Science Park actively supports through its industry initiatives.

In his keynote remarks, Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group – Dubai Science Park, Dubai Knowledge Park, and Dubai International Academic City, said:

“Scientific progress is not just driven by innovation but by our ability to communicate it clearly and persuasively. This forum reflects our continued commitment to building a thriving ecosystem for science and innovation by bridging the gap between knowledge creation and community impact.”

Industry Voices on Stage

The panel featured distinguished experts such as:

  • Abi Bailey, Director at Teneo International

  • Santadeep Roy, Regional Director at Magna Global

  • Trisca Hamid, journalist and editor in MENA

  • Rachel MacArthur, Editorial Director at Digital Inc. Media

They shared insights on building trust through transparent communication, integrating marketing strategies, and leveraging media narratives to highlight scientific achievements.

The Science Business Leaders Forum is designed to foster leadership and connectivity among top executives in science, healthcare, and research. The latest edition offered in-depth discussions on:

  • Enhancing public understanding of scientific advancements

  • Strengthening stakeholder engagement

  • Creating unique brand identities for science-driven organizations

Dubai Science Park: A Hub for Innovation

Dubai Science Park continues to grow as a leading destination for life sciences, energy, and environmental sectors. Home to over 500 international and regional companies, including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Bigen, and Virax Biolabs, DSP supports more than 6,500 professionals. The community offers LEED-certified laboratories, Grade A offices, and modern warehousing and logistics infrastructure.

The event also showcased the recent expansion of D/Quarters, DSP’s coworking solution tailored to meet the demands of a modern scientific workforce seeking flexible and collaborative environments.

Looking Ahead

The forum builds on the success of its first edition, held during Arab Health 2025, where experts explored the theme “Transitioning from Lifespan to Healthy Lifespan.” Going forward, Dubai Science Park aims to host more thought leadership events to stimulate dialogue and progress across the scientific ecosystem.
