Dubai Land Department and Dubai Silicon Oasis Advance Emirati Talent Through Real Estate Incubator Programme
Dubai Land Department (DLD), in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), organised a developers meeting as part of the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme, reinforcing efforts to empower national talent and strengthen its integration into Dubai’s real estate sector.
The meeting marked a key milestone in the programme’s first phase, offering participants a direct platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange with leading developers. It focused on supporting the transition from training to practical application, enabling participants to access real market opportunities and build professional relationships within the industry.
The initiative is part of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World”, launched by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at positioning the UAE as a global hub for entrepreneurship.
Implemented in collaboration with strategic partners including Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (RIT Dubai), the programme provides an integrated ecosystem to train Emirati brokers, enabling them to establish and manage their own real estate businesses while ensuring sustainable income opportunities.
The meeting also played a crucial role in activating developer partnerships, translating commitments into tangible opportunities through direct access to projects, market data, and marketing platforms. This approach enhances participants’ readiness and strengthens the role of DLD as a key enabler of talent development.
Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis, highlighted the importance of the initiative in developing national capabilities and supporting their participation in vital economic sectors. He emphasised that direct engagement with developers accelerates participants’ journey toward building sustainable real estate companies.
Meanwhile, Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), described the programme as a fundamental pillar for ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of the real estate sector. He noted that the initiative represents a shift from theoretical learning to real-world application, empowering participants to create businesses that deliver measurable value.
The event featured a programme overview, highlighting benefits such as mentorship from industry experts, one-on-one advisory sessions, and access to advanced real estate technologies. Participants were also introduced to marketing opportunities and competitive incentives offered by developers.
An interactive panel discussion further explored market trends, opportunities, and challenges, providing participants with deeper insights into Dubai’s dynamic real estate landscape and enhancing their practical understanding of the sector.
The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme stands as one of DLD’s pioneering initiatives, aimed at building a comprehensive ecosystem that supports Emirati professionals, fosters entrepreneurship, and strengthens their role in driving the future growth of the real estate market in alignment with the UAE’s broader vision.
