Dubai International Airport Sets Passenger Record in First Half of 2025
Dubai International Airport (DXB) has reported its busiest first half on record, welcoming 46 million passengers in the first six months of 2025, according to an official announcement made Tuesday.
Despite facing traffic disruptions in May and June due to geopolitical tensions, the airport experienced a 2.3% year-on-year growth between January and June 2025. This strong performance highlights DXB’s resilience as the world's busiest international airport.
January 2025 emerged as the busiest month ever, setting a new monthly record with 8.5 million travelers passing through its terminals.
In the second quarter alone, DXB handled 22.5 million passengers, reflecting a 3.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Dubai Airports has attributed this surge to continued global travel recovery, robust tourism demand, and the emirate’s increasing appeal as a key international hub.
