Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment launches economic survey covering key sectors
The Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment at Digital Dubai has launched the 2025 Economic Survey, a comprehensive initiative designed to capture accurate and up-to-date data on key economic activities across the emirate. The survey plays a central role in supporting the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global economic capital.
The initiative targets businesses across diverse sectors, including industry, agriculture, health, education, technology, finance, insurance, trade, real estate, transportation, construction, services, culture, arts, hospitality, restaurants, and all free zones in Dubai.
According to the Establishment, the survey will be carried out through multiple channels, including online forms, direct communication, and field visits to private sector establishments within the target sample. Businesses are encouraged to cooperate with researchers by providing accurate data, ensuring the survey reflects real economic performance, most notably the emirate’s GDP.
His Excellency Younus Al Nasser, CEO of the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment at Digital Dubai, underscored the importance of the initiative. He said:
“In today’s fast-evolving era of data, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, data remains fundamental to decision-making and future-focused strategic planning. The economic survey provides essential inputs for measuring GDP and other indicators that reflect the reality of Dubai’s economy. It is a key pillar in advancing the objectives of D33, reinforcing Dubai’s competitiveness, and preparing the emirate for sustainable future growth.”
Al Nasser also emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration, noting that strict protocols ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all shared data.
The findings of the 2025 Economic Survey will provide reliable insights into the contribution of various sectors to Dubai’s economy. The results are expected to help policymakers anticipate opportunities, address challenges, and craft strategies that support sustainable growth, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen the business environment.
As the sole official authority mandated to collect and publish statistical data in Dubai, the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and privacy.
